listen to this shit

What's good my niggas? Yo, tell me what you think...its this fine chocolate nigga at my job. He is built left a defensive tackle (for you niggas that don't like football that means he is thick but not fat), dresses well, and did I mention I think the nigga is fine? When he was in training we had lunch at the sametime so I would sit across from his table. This nigga talked about having a girl once and I stopped listening to his convo. Now that he is out of training I rarely see this nigga but when I do he makes a point to speak. I mean nigga has stopped in his track and turned around and headed back toward me to speak. How should I get a picture of this nigga without him knowing I'm taking his picture and without using my phone (you know a nigga phone takes the worst picture)?

How did you feel while reading that entry? Were you outraged by my use of the "n" word or were you unbothered because I'm black? I listened to bounty hunter dawg's message/conversation with his son about their use of the "n" word and his son's black girlfriend. And I must admit, I was less offended by that than hearing it on the radio. He used it like so many of family members, associates and co-workers use the word, not saying its right, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander. I say no one should use the word but know that's not going to happen, so what's the solution...if we as a people are going to use it and not find a problem with it, shut the fuck up when others use it.

  • The first line, I was like, What the hell is wrong with Jay! lol. The my second thought was, He must be trying to prove a point... so I went with it.

But ummm... I don't use the word. I think I slip and say it when I feel a "nigga moment" about to happen, but that is very rare, lol.

I don't get bothered if a black person says it once or twice. But I do feel uncomfortable when hispanics say it. Sure you from the hood, but nah...

Funny though, if a black comedian says it, or if I hear it on Boondocks it is quite funny to me!

  • No matter what form the word takes, it does not offend me.

Interestingly enough me and my FH was talking about that lil Bounty Hunter situation yesterday and all the hoopla surrounding it. First of all, he was having what was supposed to be a private conversation in his home. I think his son or the girlfriend taped and released it but that's not the point I'm tryna make. Everyone has said things in the privacy of their own home that they wouldn't say out in public. Not saying it's right but hey, you're in your comfort zone.

My second point is it annoys me how we as a people still get so up in arms about this damn 5 letter word...running around being offended and such. Me and the FH decided to start keeping a list of things that offends us. First on the list is Parents that don't take care of their damn children! Second is parents that allow their 7-14 year old kids run the streets at all times of the night. I had to be in MY HOUSE when the street lights came on! Not at a friends house, on the stoop, heading in...etc. Third is grown ass adults that expects someone else (including the government) to take care of them rather than taking care of themselves. I have more but I'll leave it at that for now.

  • Dammit stop agreeing with me, where is the fun in that? But the 2nd half your comment we already discussed so you know we are in total agreement. We had it out at work about the bounty hunter comments, I was unbothered by his comments, understood his view completely, but I was bothered by my co-workers who use the n word who were oh so upset.

One of my co-workers made a great point, she said "we have all used a slur at some point. But we (blacks) don't see a problem with using racial slurs when it comes to ourselves and other groups. But, when it comes to another group calling us a nigga we cry racism and make a big deal over nothing."

I think the headline wa slike he told his son to stop dating black women. I watched and watched then got bored an turn law & Order was on. lol. Im with "D" the word nigga doesnt bother me. Except if your white an your trying to be an ass id get in that ass lol. and I dont mean literally either. We have different meanings of the word no matter were the word derived from. My meaning of the werd nigga(s) is people (black, hwite, puerto Rican, etc) just a figure of speech in a crazy kinda way.

  • I thought you were telling a story at first...lol. Then I was like, damn I dont think I've ever heard him use the word...

But I am just like whatever already....he used the N word...they all do it, he just got exposed...big deal. It just goes to show you what the blacks already know to be true.

  • We also need to take into account the spelling of the word. In the black community, we differentiate 'nigga' from 'nigger.' I remember watching a documentary of 2 Pac, who defined 'nigger' as someone "hanging from one of the trees," and 'nigga' as "someone just not givin a fuck." (I can't relate to either one.) Of course, the media pointed out that the Bounty Hunter said 'nigger,' but who's to say that he didn't say 'nigga?' All of us who use the word (myself included) should take some blame for that one, cause he most likely learned it from us.

  • Jb please don't post that ignorance on my page, there is no difference in the word just because someone chooses to spell it wrong...hell look at the source, a fucking rapper....lol.

(You know I'm playing, you can post your feelings/beliefs/opinions regarding my post anytime without fear of deletion. Had to add this disclaimer)

  • Some of you already know me and know that I don't particularly like the word. It causes too much confusion. But to be brief, my overall thoughts are like this:

    1) It is still like finger nails going down a chalkboard but am more willing to accept it from blacks because more likely than not, there is no mala fe or racist underlying tone. If someone white uses it, how am I supposed to know. It assumes that I know that he lives, date, hangs out in with blacks. I don't. You can be a klans man for all I know.

    2) Even if you are a person of another race that is totally cool with blacks and have no mala fe, my question is, why would you want to use that word still? I lived in Georgia and South Carolina and just like blacks have the n word, the whites there have a few words that they call each other. My point is, even though I was close with them and they used those words/phrases around me, hat I would never call them that. That is just out of respect and not wanting to be viewed as a racist.

    3) Yes I understand that some blacks use that word and consider it a part of everyday life. What about the many others who don't?

By the way, I had to turn off the Boondocks because it is no longer just an episode that goes to far but now is part of the norm.

I have stopped shooting porn for a friend because he chose to use the n-word. The bad part is, it was only when he did porn, wasn't a part of his everyday vocabulary. So he made a special effort to include it in his videos.

  • words have pwer but power is fickle...

tact, compassion and common sense should bridle your tongue...

By Blogger Omar Ramon, at 4:41 PM

  • Wait no more porn? I don't understand ty...put some earplugs in

By Blogger Jay, at 6:24 AM

  • ummmm It has found its way back into our culture and not enough of the ones that cared enough for racial rights are fighting to remove it from the diction. While I believe its wrong to use it, it is a losing fight to stop people from saying it! Whats a "nigga" to do? lol

By Blogger Ailed LittleKnight, at 8:15 AM

  • and I also was scheming at first about how to get that pic! just for clarification, this is not an experience of yours, is it? I have some ideas lol

By Blogger Ailed LittleKnight, at 8:20 AM

  • Actually it is...dude is sexy to me

By Blogger Jay, at 3:10 PM

  • After I read the first paragraph I was appauled at your use of language. I took a sigh of relief when i realized you were trying to prove a point. It was duly proved. I think we should stop using that word and totally agree with you--If we as a people can sya it then so can anyone else...How dare we get mad.

By Blogger Tyson, at 11:11 PM

  • The N word should be a crime to use! Point Blank!!!
